Boise Has a New Elite Store For Pets

We went to visit our vet today. Don’t worry Maggie wasn’t sick – it was her annual checkup at her favorite Boise veterinarian – Dr. McKown. Before we went into the exam room we were excited to visit their new shop. Pets First Animal Clinic expanded their clinic and added a cute shop of elite pet products. I asked Dr. McKown to tell me more about their new shop.

DogBlog Review – MrChewy

The Dog Blog canine contributor, Maggie, and her human blogger, Julie, were pleased to participate in a review of the web site Mr. Chewy.  Mr. Chewy was founded in 2011 and it appears to be doing a great online business.

We loved the humorous way that the web site is designed.  Free shipping on orders $49 makes it well worth the trip to the computer to place an order for your dog (or cat).

First step was to head on over to their web site mrchewy.com.  Step two was to register.  According to their web site creating an account is fast, easy, and free. You’ll be able to track your orders, create wish lists, write reviews, and more!

And they were right.  It was very easy to create our account, our information was kept private.  So managing the account was a very good online experience. 

If you have questions, they have a live chat.  I did have two occasions to use their live chat.  The first chat did take some time.  I assume they were very busy that day. 

The only complaint I had was that one of the items listed on the web site indicated a price range starting at $5.99.  When I looked at the item – Redbarn Bully Sticks Dog Treats, the lower price of $5.99 was not one of the options.  I asked the customer support about this and was told they do not have that item available.  So my question – why have the $5.99 item listed if the price should actually range from $10.99? The customer support representative apologized sincerely for the misunderstanding and told me he will let management know of this and make sure it’s dealt with appropriately. 

We placed our order and Mr. Chewy sent our order very quickly.  Maggie was very excited to see a big box of treats arrive at our door. The packaging was solid.  As you can see, Maggie the dog blogger thinks Mr. Chewy is one lip-smacking place for dogs and their blogs.

Maggie, the DogBlog Dog from Boise, Idaho was pleased to test out a very special bed. Special, you say, what makes this pet bed so special? First of all, it is so comfortable it feels like an air mattress. She snoozes away, dreaming of squirrels up a tree and running like the wind.

Maggie is a dog who thought the master family bed was the only place she could sleep. This was until we got her this new luxury pet bed from Crypton Super Fabrics. Now she can stretch out and feel snug as a bug in a rug. OK, she might need a few toys to really feel snug, but even humans would enjoy sleeping on this bed.

Maggie, the Dog, Tests Pet Food

The door bell rang, it was a delivery. The box is left at the door. We guess the delivery guy didn’t want to meet Maggie at the door. I brought in the box and to Maggie’s delight the delivery was for her. You see, a representative for SUPERVALU® contacted the DogBlog to ask if we would like to sample their new products for dogs. Time to Ward Off Fleas and Ticks

Spring is already here in Idaho and so it’s time to prepare for those pesky ticks. We love to walk along the Boise River and if you don’t stay in the middle of the path you are sure to have a tick jump on you and the dog. We have a beautiful Boise Greenbelt, a wonderful place to walk the dog.

Just a few more months and we will see the Swans and their little ones. I wonder how many there will be this year.

Our vet recommends Frontline Plus for Dogs. But it can be kind of spendy. So I checked out the price at Amazon and there is quite a savings.
